Join us for the launch of UC Irvine's 'Year of Scholarly Values,' a campuswide initiative exploring the importance of academic integrity and excellence. The event will feature a panel discussion led by Distinguished Professor of Philosophy Duncan Pritchard, with an introduction by Chancellor Howard Gillman. Panelists include Richard Arum, professor of sociology and education; dean emeritus, School of Education; Michael Dennin, professor of physics and astronomy and vice provost for Teaching and Learning; and Julia Lupton, Distinguished Professor of English and comparative literature. They will discuss what scholarly values are, how we can promote them, and the challenges we face as a university.
