Remember to vote
Dear members of the Anteater community,
Today is the last opportunity voters across California and the country have to weigh in on candidates and issues that impact their communities, their pocketbooks, and their futures. The UCI community is composed of engaged students, faculty, and staff eager to get involved, to stand up for what they believe in, and to make a difference on campus, at home, and in the world. Voting is your voice, and we encourage you to use it.
In-person same-day registration and voting
If you are not registered to vote, you may still register in person today and cast your ballot. You must be 18 years old or older, a U.S. citizen, and reside in Orange County to complete the same day voting process at an Orange County Vote Center. Find a vote center at ocvote.gov/votecenter.
At UCI we have TWO options for you to cast your ballot in person. The hours of operations for both locations on this election day are 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- UCI Student Center (311 W. Peltason Drive, Irvine, CA) – complimentary voter parking in the Student Center Parking Structure
- University Hills Community Center (1083 California Ave, Irvine, CA) – complimentary voter parking in parking lot adjacent to the facility
Mail-in or drop box voting
All currently registered California voters received a ballot in the mail. You can vote by returning the ballot in the mail today or by dropping it off at one of the ballot drop-off locations.
UCI’s OC ROV Official Ballot Drop Box is located on the corner of Campus Drive and West Peltason, near the kiosk at the entrance of parking lot 5. It will cease accepting ballots at 8:00 p.m.
All mail ballots must be postmarked no later than today and received by November 15.
For questions, contact the Registrar of Voters at (714) 567-7600 or (888) OCVOTES or visit ocvote.gov.
Please take advantage of the hard-won right to participate in American democracy and use the most powerful tool you have to bring about lasting change.
