Money magazine ranks UCI No. 1 best college

I am delighted to announce that this morning Money magazine ranked UCI No. 1 on its 2019 list of the “best colleges in the U.S.” The magazine cited UCI for delivering “a superior education at an affordable price, enabling graduates to avoid heavy debt and succeed in the workplace.” UCI is the very first public university ever to be ranked No. 1 by Money. Last year, on the 2018 list, we were ranked No. 3.

The Money recognition is the latest in a series putting UCI in the top tier of U.S. universities for affordability, excellence and student success. Earlier this year, UCI was ranked No. 3 in Forbes’ 2019 Best Value College survey, which judged schools based on cost, academic quality, postgrad earnings, student debt and graduation success. And the campus has twice topped The New York Times’ College Access Index of U.S. universities based on their commitment to economic diversity and social mobility.

We would not receive this kind of acclaim without the hard work and dedication of all our faculty, staff, students and supporters. It is you who have brought UCI to the topmost ranks of higher education in this country and around the world. And together, we will continue to educate the best and brightest regardless of background and circumstance.
