One of the lovely features of this time of year is that, as the days become shorter and we approach the winter solstice (on December 21), our natural response is to reassert the light – not just with holiday decorations and bright displays, but also with acts of generosity and kindness, loving appreciation of family and friends, and thankfulness for all the good things that happened around us this past year.
It is a beautiful and hopeful thing that we do this. I thank you for all your contributions to our community and wish you all the best during this season of illumination and reflection. Let us resolve to make our light even more consequential, and to make 2018 even brighter than 2017.
