To the Anteater community:
I am deeply honored and humbled to have been selected UCI’s sixth chancellor. This past year has been tremendously exciting, and I have been especially grateful for the opportunity to get to know so many of you. I want to thank all of you who offered me your advice and support this past year, and who extended well wishes as I make the transition to the position of chancellor.
I had an opportunity to share some thoughts with the regents earlier today, which I am sharing with you at the end of this note.
I am looking forward to the work we will do together in the weeks, months, and years to come. We have a vitally important mission in the world, and we have great opportunities to expand the excellence and impact of our efforts.
