Reaffirmation of Nondiscrimination and Affirmative Action Policy

Dear colleagues,

With the start of the new calendar year, it is essential that we ensure that everyone at UC Irvine is supported in their research, career and educational pursuits with equal opportunity and in an environment free of discrimination and harassment.

Discrimination or harassment based on a protected category is prohibited by law and university policy. UCI takes allegations of discrimination seriously and will respond promptly and effectively to reports of discrimination or harassment. Our nondiscrimination and affirmative action policies and guidelines for reporting and responding to reports of discrimination and harassment are available online and through the Office of Equal Opportunity & Diversity.

For additional information regarding the procedures related to discrimination and harassment complaints, please contact the OEOD at 103 Multipurpose Science & Technology Building, 949-824-5594 or oeod@uci.edu.

It is everyone’s responsibility to maintain a discrimination-free community at UCI. Sustaining a climate that values diversity and fosters inclusion will help propel our university into its brilliant future. Therefore, please join me in reaffirming this commitment.
