Chancellor Howard Gillman joined Orange County academic leaders at a special ceremony Wednesday, Sept. 27, where he pledged to support high school graduates from Anaheim to help them reach their higher education goals. As part of the Anaheim Union Educational Pledge, UCI partnered with two Orange County community colleges to ensure Anaheim Union High School District graduates have an opportunity to earn their bachelor’s degrees in a timely manner. UCI will offer guaranteed admission to all graduates of AUHSD who enroll at Cypress College or Fullerton College and meet academic eligibility requirements, such as major prerequisites.
“UCI is recognized as the leading campus in the country doing the most of the American dream, by providing access to a world-class education to all qualified students regardless of their background. We are committed to serving the local community and are proud to be an engine of upward mobility for some of the best and brightest young people in Orange County and across the state.”
