Chancellor Gillman helped kick-off the second day of the annual University of California Black Administrators’ Council meeting at the UCLA Luskin Center June 2. This year’s conference focused on reimaging the university and strategies to increase and support the African American community throughout the UC system. Chancellor Gillman joined UC Regent Emeritus Eddie Island for a conversation moderated by UCI Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Thomas Parham. The discussion focused on ways to enact change on campus and encourage others to commit to fostering a diverse, inclusive environment.

“You can’t define excellence without inclusion,” Chancellor Gillman said.
