Chancellor Drake salutes men’s volleyball national champions

Chancellor Michael Drake joined fans, friends and family of UC Irvine men’s volleyball to salute the national champions at noon on Tuesday, May 8 at the Student Center. The Anteaters defeated USC at the Gallen Center on May 5, winning their third NCAA volleyball title in six years.  Saluting the team and the coach, Chancellor Drake said that the men’s volleyball team demonstrated character excellence throughout a challenging season, beating powerhouses such as Penn State, UCLA and Stanford on their way to the title.
