Chancellor welcomes Japan's consul general

Chancellor Michael Drake welcomed the Los Angeles-based consul general of Japan, Jun Niimi, to UC Irvine on Friday, Jan. 27. Niimi was on campus to visit the 15 teachers from Japan who were participating in a University Extension program to perfect their English-teaching skills.  The consul's visit included presentations by the students in the Global Viewpoint Lounge and a tour of campus.
